I'm not a fan of hot springs in the sweltering summer heat. In fact, I'm not a fan of hot springs period. So when my family suggested that we go swimming one weekend, I knew I had to find an affordable yet non-hot spring private resort or else I'd be swimming in a steaming hot pool with the sun bearing down on me. I scoured the web for days, looking for resorts in the Cavite/Laguna area and I found the newly opened Teofely Gardens in Silang, Cavite.
The resort is definitely a beauty. The large garden outside is well-manicured. They have set up plenty of tents on the sides of the garden so you can picnic with your family. They can also provide you with a grill which we used to barbecue the liempo and fish that we bought.
The pool-side area is absolutely gorgeous. They have plenty of room around the pool area set up with tables and chairs so you can relax and feel the cool breeze. The pool goes from 4ft to 7ft and they clean the water every morning.
They also have a jacuzzi nearby and the water from it cascades down to the main pool.
The bathrooms and outdoor showers are clean. I also noticed that the caretakers regularly go around the pool area, mopping up water to avoid accidents caused by slippery floors.
During our visit, we brought our own food along but if you don't want the added hassle of buying, transporting and cooking food for your vacation, just go ahead and order from the Teofely Gardens menu and the staff would be more than happy to cook for you upon request.
You can rent this beautiful resort for 7,500 pesos for a day tour without any rooms. If you want to have a room, they have five rooms (additional 2,500 pesos each) that can fit a maximum of five people. Unfortunately, since the resort is fairly new, the rooms do not have air-conditioning as of now. But with the fresh air in Silang, I think having an electric fan is more than enough to keep you cool at night. If that's not enough, you can always just jump into the pool. ;)
