All my favorite TV shows ended a couple of weeks ago which means the start of the dreaded summer season. The summer season is the wasteland filled with mostly boring shows and unnecessary re-runs.
Apart from a couple of favorites of mine (Leverage and White Collar), I have reserved these months to catch up with shows that seemed great but I hadn't gotten around to watching yet. The other year, it was Bones. Last year, I was having dreams about serial killers because of watching 6 seasons of Criminal Minds one after the other. This year is the year for Burn Notice.
Now, what about the new shows premiering this summer? Meh. I could really care less. With the success of Pretty Little Liars last summer (I admittedly loved it before it just got boring for me once it went up against my favorite fall shows), there is a multitude of mystery teen dramas lined up for the next couple of weeks. The other more 'mature' newbies don't really fall into my idea of a fun watch.
I'm probably more excited with the premiere of Leverage than the premiere of White Collar but only because it has been a long time since the last season ended. There are a couple of other shows in the coming months but to me, that seems like forever.
If I had that remote that Adam Sandler had in Click, I'd definitely fast forward to September just to see what happens in Castle now that Castle dropped the L-bomb as Beckett lay there 'dying' of a gunshot wound. You'll see my review on that and one of the most heart breaking episode of Bones in my next posts.
Until then... Ciao, bitches. :)
